INTRODUCING the new PUPPY SOCIALIZATION program at Come-Play-Stay! PDF Print E-mail

Socialization is vital to ensuring that you start your new puppy off on the right paw.  Every puppy experiences critical periods of learning during 8-16 weeks of age.  During this time it is important to give them extensive exposure to people, puppies, places and objects (in controlled and safe environments) in order for them to gain a knowledge and understanding of new things.  Puppies that are giving proper socialization become confident and secure adult dogs.

With our new One Smart Puppy flexible puppy classes, y
ou no longer have to wait to get started in your puppy’s vital socialization & learning.  Register for Come-Play-Stay’s on-going admission, off-leash - One Smart Puppy Classes.   Our flexible puppy training classes are on-going – 2 classes offered every week - and cover specific topics that are on a four-week rotation.  You and your puppy can come to as many or as few classes as you desire and you select the topic to meet your needs.  Each 60 minute class will cover a specific topic(s), and intersperse positive puppy romp and roll time and training cues such as; sit, down, come, attention behaviors, leash manners, etc.  Because our classes are off-leash, puppies learn to respond to their humans in a leash-free environment.  The on-going style encourages a rotating group, providing optimum socialization to new people and dogs… in a safe and positive learning environment.  Life happens, and sometimes you have to skip puppy school, but with this format you won’t be missing out; just hop into a class covering the topic you need at your convenience.  As long as your puppy is under 18 weeks of age, you can come to as many classes as you choose, depending on your puppy’s needs.

**Puppies must meet specific health and age requirements (go to the training page for additional details) before participation and owners must reserve a spot in class

(limit 10/class).
