Certified Veterinary Technicians
At South Mesa, we have several Certified Technicians on staff, most of whom have worked in the field for over ten years. They have achieved certification through intense education and training with continued education throughout their careers. They are responsible for all aspects of patient care, including anesthesia monitoring and recovery, treatment of hospitalized patients, performing laboratory tests, taking x-rays, and assisting doctors with exams and procedures. These technicians are an integral part of our team, and their skills allow our doctors to practice the highest quality of medicine.

Veterinary Assistants
These team members are a diverse group of people who have the common bond of a love for animals and a desire to work in the veterinary field. At South Mesa, our veterinary and technician assistants are responsible for assisting with animal handling, walking and feeding hospitalized pets, maintaining equipment, and helping other team members wherever they are needed. We truly value these staff members for their compassion and dedication to animals.
